Following a brief closure, the skatepark was taken back by its owners, 'Rowley Cardrome Ltd.' in December 2023 and is currently being managed by volunteer skaters and riders through a not-for-profit company; 'Rom Skatepark Limited'. The volunteers intend to raise awareness of Rom, attract more visitors and underpin the park’s long-term viability.
This will be achieved through regular openings, establishing lessons and events plus a schools’ programme of lessons and activities during term-time. New ramps will be laid out in the coming months to offer additional challenging lines.

We want Rom to become east London’s worst kept secret and re-establish it as a cool destination for all who want to ride, skate or, simply watch urban sports.
