Rom Revival

Rom Revival is a community day for riders and skaters to come together with local residents, craftspeople, artists, designers, and charities to form The Gathering.

It’s 10-years since Rom was listed Grade II by Historic England and we’re having a party to celebrate this cool monument to 1970’s skateboarding.

ROM-Revival Mogul Challenge

A special mention to Max. We know you hit the moguls, but our chalkboard was smudged, and we only have your name.

Everyone gets some Gumball 3000 headgear which is on special order. Contact one of us at Reception in early November and we’ll hand it over

Coaching

SkateboardGB - Rom Skatepark

Eight skaters qualified as skateboard coaches under the SkateboardGB 'Get Rolling' course. As part of our plans to offer lessons to all, some of our graduates will be taking classes at Rom for all age groups. Plus, we will be organising a schools’ outreach programme this autumn to get youngsters skating and scooting.

A special thanks to Ric’ Magee Atxukarro who took the course.

BMX Car Boot Sale - Saturday 14th September

We’re grateful to all those that turned-up for the BMX Car Boot Sale. It was the first to be held at Rom and we’ll definitely have another. Not only could you buy a bargain but test it out in the park straight away. It’s good to raise funds for Rom through events, the sale of food & beverages too.

We appreciate the support of all who came. Great effort Steve Habbishaw for arranging the event.
